Mr Negrescu is a Member of European Parliament since 2014 and served as Minister Delegate for European affairs in the government of Romania between 2017 and 2018. Since 2007, he is the president and national coordinator of the Romanian network of PES activists. As a member of the European Parliament, Negrescu sought to promote the Romanian IT sector and IT entrepreneurs, as well as to contribute to the development of the European digital sector.

Ms. Biljana Borzan is a Croatian medical doctor and politician. Ms Borzan specialized in occupational and sport medicine and worked from 1997 to 2007 at the Osijek Health Centre. She holds a special interest in nutrition and embracing healthy habits and prevention.

Ms. Dolors Montserrat is a Spanish lawyer and politician. Previously, she served as Minister of Health, Social Services and Equality of Spain from 2016 to 2018. Ms Montserrat holds a special interest on cancer and other health issues.

Mr. Tomislav Sokol is a Croatian lawyer, holding a magna cum laude law’s degree. Mr Sokol also defended his Ph.D. on patient mobility and its impact on national health insurance systems in the EU and taught Health Law from 2016 to 2017.

Mr. Tudor Ciuhodaru is a Romanian medical doctor and politician. Mr Ciuhodaru holds a special interest in advocating for different health issues, ranging from mental health to general access to health care facilities.

Mr. Bartosz Arłukowicz is a Polish paediatrician, who served as Minister of Health in the governments of Donald Tusk and Ewa Kopacz in Poland. Mr Arłukowicz holds a special interest in hematooncology and paediatric oncology.

In this regard, she recently collected over 200 signatures of MEPs for a Written Declaration on Heart Failure, calling on the Member States and the European Commission to raise awareness of the symptoms of heart failure.

Since his election in the European Parliament, Mr Caputo has been actively engaged in European discussions on diabetes, allergic diseases, the relative lack of baby care facilities for men’s public sanitary rooms, obesity as a health problem, cancer and primary prevention, neonatal health and vaccination campaigns.
