Jens Gieseke is a German national and a member of the EPP party at the European Parliament since 2014. MEP Gieseke grew up in Lathen, Germany. After studying law in Osnabrück, Lausanne and Geneva, he completed his 1st State Examination in Freiburg and his 2nd in Düsseldorf.
Before joining the European Parliament, MEP Gieseke has worked in Brussels since 2001. He first served in the European Parliament as a Parliamentary Assistant and from 2005 till 2014, he was the Head of the Brussels liaison office of the German Airports Association (ADV). After a successful campaign, Jens Gieseke was elected as a MEP and sits on the committees on the environment, agriculture and fisheries.
In what concerns health care, MEP Gieseke is engaged in matters related to food health, health regulations and the transparency of european health organizations.
Consequently, his thorough knowledge of EU institutions combined with his interest in health regulatory matters are of great support to HFE’s goals. We are, therefore, delighted to welcome MEP Gieseke to the HFE team.
