New HFE Member, /

Health First Europe is delighted to welcome the International Patient Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies (IPOPI) as a new organisational member.

Established in 1992, IPOPI works as the global advocate to improve awareness, access to early diagnosis and optimal treatments for primary immunodeficiency (PID) patients worldwide in cooperation with its national member organisations and key PID stakeholders.

IPOPI activities are targeted to ensure optimal access to diagnosis and care, through the organization of political advocacy programmes and collaboration with European and international organizations. IPOPI also works to develop, strengthen and support national member organisations, through the organisation of awareness campaign workshops or regional advocacy workshops and to enhance the global visibility of primary immunodeficiencies.

IPOPI is a member of the Patient and Consumer Organisations Working Party of the European Medicines Agency and in 2007 IPOPI was accepted as a member of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Global Collaboration on Blood Safety.

Health First Europe is excited to welcome IPOPI as a member and looks forward to working together to advocate for patients.
